Privacy Policy for Dropdown List Extractor

Dropdown List Extractor processes webpage content only after the user deliberately activates it through the extension popup or optional keyboard shortcut.

When the user selects “Start dropdown capture,” the extension temporarily waits on the active webpage for up to 60 seconds for the next supported dropdown or scrolling list the user opens. It stops waiting after one extraction, after 60 seconds, or when the user leaves the page.

The extension:

• reads text from the user-opened dropdown or scrolling list on the active webpage;
• scrolls that list temporarily to collect its rendered options;
• removes duplicate entries;
• creates a text file containing the extracted option text; and
• downloads that text file to the user’s device.

All processing occurs locally in the user’s browser.

Dropdown List Extractor does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or remotely store personal information, browsing history, webpage content, extracted list data, or usage data.

The extension does not use accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, remote code, or external servers.

Permissions

• activeTab allows the extension to access the current tab only after the user deliberately activates it. It is used to extract an already open list or temporarily wait for the next supported list the user opens.
• scripting allows the extension’s packaged local extraction and temporary waiting scripts to run on that active page.
• downloads allows the extension to save the locally generated dropdown-items.txt file. It does not read, open, upload, or transmit files from the user’s device.

Changes

If the extension’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are released.
